Commercial Auto Adjuster Position

Job Description

This position requires experience with handling commercial auto claims, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle pending of 45-50 cases inclusive of commercial auto damage and other transportation losses
  • Motor truck cargo legal liability claims handling experience is a plus
  • Effective writing, negotiation, and verbal communication skills

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Understanding of commercial auto claims
  • At least 5 years of insurance company or comparable experience
  • Ability to read and understand policy language
  • Mitchell estimating or other material damage appraisal estimating systems familiarity is a plus

Property Claims Adjuster

Responsibilities: 

  • Performing on-site inspections of damaged property, including roofs/attics
  • Preparing estimates of repair and ITV reports using Xactimate
  • Preparing inventories of damaged property including valuations
  • Performing investigation including interviews & recorded statements
  • Evaluating insurance coverage, and drafting ROR and denial letters
  • Making claim adjustment recommendations
  • Preparing comprehensive reports
  • Property damage investigations
  • Maintaining control of a full caseload

Qualifications & Skills: 

  • Minimum of four years of property claims handling experience
    • Preference given to those with Property/Multi-line claims experience
  • Ability to carry/use a ladder and inspect roofs/attics
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Xactimate
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Microsoft Teams
  • Works well independently while maintaining a current diary

Job Type: Non-exempt, full-time, or part-time

Location: Northern California

Salary: $35 – $45 hourly

TPA Claims Examiner Position

Job Description

As part of your role, you will be responsible for a range of tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Investigating, evaluating, and resolving personal auto or commercial auto liability and transportation claims.
  • Thoroughly documenting investigations, evaluations, recommendations, and action plans.
  • Drafting professional letters, memos, and comprehensive reports.
  • Reviewing independent adjuster reports for accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensuring the continuous settlement of claims in alignment with industry best practices and adherence to all state and federal regulations.
  • Strategizing and taking decisive actions to achieve the best possible outcomes for each claim.
  • Demonstrating exceptional organizational abilities, effective communication skills, and proficiency in analytical thinking, writing, negotiation, and follow-up.
  • Ensuring full compliance with state and federal laws, Department of Insurance criteria, and the policies and procedures of insurance carriers.

Qualifications and Skills:

To excel in this role, the following qualifications and skills are essential:

  • Proficiency in comprehending and applying commercial and/or personal lines policy terms and endorsement forms.
  • The capability to draft memos for review and approval by supervisor.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage a full caseload within a fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, including the maintenance of a robust diary system.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in adjusting.
  • Prior experience with TPAs is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
  • An aptitude for quickly learning new IT applications.
  • Possession of an Adjuster License in the following states: CA, NV, AZ, WA, UT, OR, and AK, or the ability to obtain licenses in these states within a reasonable timeframe.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $72,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
