Commercial Auto Adjuster Position

Job Description

This position requires experience with handling commercial auto claims, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Responsibilities:

Handle pending of 45-50 cases inclusive of commercial auto damage and other transportation losses
Motor truck cargo legal liability claims handling experience is a plus
Effective writing, negotiation, and verbal communication skills

Qualifications and Skills:

Understanding of commercial auto claims
At least 5 years of insurance company or comparable experience
Ability to read and understand policy language
Mitchell estimating or other material damage appraisal estimating systems familiarity is a plus

Property Claims Adjuster

Responsibilities:

Performing on-site inspections of damaged property, including roofs/attics
Preparing estimates of repair and ITV reports using Xactimate
Preparing inventories of damaged property including valuations
Performing investigation including interviews & recorded statements
Evaluating insurance coverage, and drafting ROR and denial letters
Making claim adjustment recommendations
Preparing comprehensive reports
Property damage investigations
Maintaining control of a full caseload

Qualifications & Skills:

Minimum of 4 years of property claims handling experience

- Preference given to those with Property/Multi-line claims experience

Ability to carry/use a ladder and inspect roofs/attics
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent time management and organization skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Proficient in Xactimate
Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Microsoft Teams
Works well independently while maintaining a current diary

Job Type: Non-exempt, full-time, or part-time

Location: Northern California

Salary: $35 – $45 hourly

TPA Property Claims Examiner

Responsibilities:

Investigate and manage multi-line claims with concentration of residential and commercial property claims.
Interpret policy coverage and determine if and how coverage applies to submitted claims.
Set reserves and authorize payment within the scope of authority.
Coordinate and manage investigations and evaluate claims and lawsuits.
Work with attorneys, claimants, and insureds regarding the handling of claims.
Utilize negotiating skills to resolve claims. Analyze claim activity and provide data for management reports.
Keep current on state/territory regulations as well as industry activity and trends.

Qualifications and Skills:

Minimum 7 years of experience handling liability and property claims.
Currently possess or will obtain adjuster’s licenses for various states.
Preference for Third Party Administrator (TPA) experience.
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and able to learn claims systems.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong negotiation skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to exercise judgment and make critical business decisions effectively.

Independent Claims Adjuster – Northern & Southern California

Southern California: Applicants must reside in and be able to travel locally within and surrounding the Los Angeles County, California area.

Northern California: Applicants must reside in and be able to travel locally within and surrounding the Sacramento, California area.

Responsibilities:

Evaluating insurance coverage and liability exposure.
Conducting investigations, including interviews and recorded statements.
Performing on-site inspections, including cold calls, scene investigations, and vehicle inspections.
Making informed claim adjustment recommendations.
Preparing clear, detailed, and comprehensive reports.
Maintaining control of a full caseload while meeting deadlines and compliance requirements.

Qualifications and Skills:

Minimum of 5 years of claims handling experience.
Strong field investigation and inspection background preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse parties.
Highly developed analytical and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage travel within assigned areas.
